Emily has recently joined NatCen as Research Assistant where she will be assisting the Policy Research Centre on a number of different projects.
Prior to working at NatCen Emily worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Nottingham Student’s Union. There she carried out qualitative research using focus groups and consultation events with students in order to inform university policy on social issues such as transport, housing, health and wellbeing and campus safety.
Emily previously spent three months in Tanzania volunteering on a water and sanitation health project where she took the lead on research into the gaps in clean water provision in the community.
After completing her Masters in Social Anthropology of Development in 2015, Emily then worked as a Research Assistant on a clinical study at the University of Nottingham which gave her further exposure to qualitative research in the health field and an introduction to some quantitative research methods.
