Katriina Lepanjuuri is a Senior Researcher based in the Children, Families and Work team. Specialising in quantitative research, she is experienced in designing and implementing both large-scale as well as smaller, bespoke surveys for a range of funders, including government departments and other public bodies. The projects Katriina has managed have employed face-to-face, telephone, web, postal and mixed modes as well as involved diary elements.
Katriina has a particular interest in welfare and employment policies and many of the projects she has worked on reflect this. Most recently, Katriina has completed two research projects exploring the modern employment practices within the so-called ‘sharing’ and ‘gig’ economy for the HMRC and BEIS.
She currently manages the Children’s Services Omnibus survey and the Survey of Childcare and Early Years Providers for DfE.
Before joining NatCen in 2014, Katriina worked in market and social research across both qualitative and quantitative projects. These projects have included international monitoring and evaluation work, large tracking studies as well as smaller ad-hoc pieces for private, public and third sectors.
