Sandy Chidley

Researcher

Children, Families & Work

Sandy is a Researcher in the Children, Families and Work Team within the Policy Research Centre.

He was previously a trainee researcher in NatCen’s Longitudinal Team working on some of Britain’s largest longitudinal surveys including Understanding Society (wave 9) for the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) and the British Cohort Study 1970 (age 46 survey) for the Centre for Longitudinal Studies. 

Sandy is a mixed methods researcher, having started his career in qualitative research at Lemos&Crane, a small social research agency delivering projects to arts sector clients.

He has conducted interviews and focus groups with stakeholders on a range of projects, including vulnerable people such as those experiencing homelessness, with learning difficulties, and with mental health problems.
