Making research real

NatCen Learning session

Want to enthuse your students about stats and survey research methods? This free training programme is open to social science lecturers and graduate students responsible for teaching quantitative methods to undergraduates.

Summary 

Delegates will have the opportunity to: 

  • find out about new resources for teaching and learning
  • hear from practitioners working for leading research organisations about the latest developments
  • reflect on their teaching and sharing best practice
  • network with fellow lecturers from local HE institutions 

This programme is funded by the ESRC Quantitative Methods programme which aims to improve the quantitative literacy of social science undergraduates.

The workshops are being led by NatCen Learning with support from WISERD at Cardiff University, Edinburgh University, City University and Vitae.

Format

  • x3 face-to-face workshops
  • live online seminars
  • online learning community 
  • professional development opportunities including placements with the UK’s leading survey research organisations 

Registration

All three workshops are taking place in Cardiff, London and Edinburgh. 

To qualify for this training programme you must be a current lecturer in a UK HEI with teaching responsibilities for undergraduate and/or postgraduate level students in quantitative research methods.

Register now to avoid disappointment, each region can accommodate a maximum of 20 delegates.

We're able to provide support with travel costs.
