Case study: Dudley Council
Dudley Council's boost will give them the insight they need to decide where to spend their limited budget.
Dudley's Office of Public Health came to us to deliver a reliable health survey after they became concerned about the response rates of previous surveys they had commissioned.
We developed a questionnaire for them using tried and tested questions from the Health Survey for England, which will be administered by our experienced survey interviewers in parallel with this year's Health Survey for England. We'll be aiming to secure a household response rate between 60% and 65%.
We know that objective measures of things like height and weight are more reliable than self reported estimates, so we'll be supplementing survey questions with height and weight measurements taken by our specially trained interviewers.
The results of the boost will give Dudley a clear understanding of how different lifestyles in the area are related to health outcomes and where there are health inequalities across different wards.
