Community-led attempts to reduce poverty
A literature review
Published: September 2016
We've identified a body of evidence that show cases features of successful community –led poverty reduction programmes from outside the UK.
We were asked to do this by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation who are in the process of developing an Anti-Poverty Strategy for the UK and want to know what works.
Our researchers systematically identified evidence in relevant literature and analysed the content in order to identify features of poverty reduction programmes that work.
The raw data were summarised, commonality and difference between the documents identified, descriptive statements drawn out and data interpreted.
