Aleks joined NatCen in 2008 as a Senior Researcher (Analyst) in the Longitudinal Studies Group. She has an MSc in Demography and Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and her background is in social research and analysis for academic institutions, government organisations and NGOs both in the UK and in Vanuatu. Aleks has a particular interest in research for social policy in regard to children and young people in the areas of health inequalities, wellbeing, deprivation, social cohesion and more generally in supporting young people on a path to success in adult life.
