Carli Lessof is a member of NatCen’s Senior Management Team and our Director of Innovation and Development. She leads a wide ranging programme of work including:
Carli joined NatCen in 1998, specialising for many years in complex evaluations of government policy. In 2003, she established a new programme of work in longitudinal research, drawing together landmark studies such as the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, the Millennium Cohort Study, the 1970 Birth Cohort Study, the 1958 National Child Development Study and Understanding Society. This helped NatCen develop a strong expertise in longitudinal survey development and delivery as well as longitudinal data management, methodology and analysis. Carli is a Trustee of Longview, an independent think tank, committed to promoting and improving longitudinal research in the UK.
Before joining NatCen, Carli worked at the London School of Economics, the Department of Work and Pensions and the National Audit Office.
