Researcher | Trainer
Debbie is a Researcher in NatCen's Questionnaire Development and Testing (QDT) Hub. Debbie helped set up the QDT Hub in 2006, having spent over three years working in NatCen's Survey Methods Unit and a further three years working on surveys such as the Study of Families with Children (1999, 2000 and 2001); the National Child Development Study; the 1970 British Cohort Study; and the 2000 British Crime Survey. Prior to joining NatCen Debbie worked as a social researcher at IPSOS-RSL and ONS. Her areas of expertise include question testing and cognitive interviewing, questionnaire design, factors influencing respondents' decisions to participate in surveys and longitudinal study design. Debbie is a member of the international Questionnaire Evaluation Standards (QUEST) group.
