
Ian is a mixed methods researcher in the Crime and Justice team,
joining NatCen in 2009. He is currently working on the Independent
Evaluation of the Integrated Drug Treatment System in Prison, a
mixed method project incorporating both qualitative and
quantitative techniques. In addition, he is working on the English
Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA), a survey looking at the health
and lifestyles of people aged over 50.
He has also been involved in a number of other research studies,
including the Family Resources Survey (FRS) and qualitative studies
looking at the online grooming of children and attitudes towards
the sentencing of sexual offences.
