Mari Toomse
Researcher

Mari Toomse is a Research Director in the Income and Work Team. Mari joined NatCen in 2008 and is specialising in quantitative research relating to benefits, tax credits, employment and basic skills. Currently she is leading the Tax Credit and Child Benefit Study for HMRC and working on the Understanding Society Innovation Panel.

Previously she has successfully delivered the Survey of Maternity and Paternity Rights and Women Returners for DWP and BIS and Basic Skills of Army Recruits for the Army, among others. Mari has a keen interest in survey methodology and she is involved with internal innovation and development projects.
