Mari is a lead researcher on Tax Credit and Child Benefit Study and on Maternity and Paternity Rights Study. These studies provide invaluable insight into two important social policy domains. Tax Credit and Child Benefit Study is a major panel study of people's experiences with the tax credit and Child Benefit system. Maternity and Paternity Rights Study investigates experiences of recent mothers and fathers with maternity and paternity leave and pay. Mari's job involves looking after a study as a whole - coming up with the study design, putting it into practise and then reporting on the results. Mari is also interested in the methodological aspects of social surveys and is studying for a PhD in this field.
