Sue Arthur
Researcher | Trainer

Sue is a Research Director in the Income and Work team. She has over 10 years experience of carrying out social research, specialising in qualitative research methods. She has worked on and directed research projects for a number of government departments and grant making bodies, including DWP, DfE, DH, the  Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Nuffield Foundation. Sue has experience of carrying out and managing research projects in a wide range of different fields and among diverse populations. She has a particular research interest in the role of financial factors in people's decision-making and attitudes.

Current research includes a study for the DWP investigating the delivery and take-up of Pension Credit, and a study for Islington Council looking at experiences of debt and debt advice services among Islington residents.

Sue is an experienced trainer and leads NatCen's course on Qualitative Data Analysis.
