Geography

The National Travel Survey randomly selects households from across Great Britain, but not including the Scilly Isles, or the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

Data archived

Each year the National Travel Survey data is archived in the Data Archive, held at the University of Essex.

Data security

NatCen and the DfT, who use the data, are bound by the same code of
confidentiality. Answers will be treated in strict confidence in accordance with
the Data Protection Act. They are used for statistical research purposes only.Names and address are never passed on or included with the results.
