Personal Support Package Evaluation

Personal Support Package Evaluation

The Personal Support Package (PSP) offers tailored support for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) claimants placed in the Work-Related Activity Group (WRAG) and Universal Credit claimants identified in the limited capacity to work group (LCW).

Tailored support can include:

  • Access to Journey to Employment (J2E) job clubs
  • A place on Work Choice;
  • A place on the Specialist Employment Support programme;
  • Access to Work Mental Health Services; or
  • Access to the Small Employer Offer.

NatCen Social Research, an independent, not-for-profit organisation, has been commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions, to evaluate the PSP.

The evaluation will involve interviews and focus groups with Jobcentre Plus staff and local organisations involved in delivering the PSP. We will also be speaking to claimants who have been offered the support.
