    Our work in this area covers a number of broad themes. Studies like The Family Resources Survey measures the financial circumstances of the population as a whole; this provides a general backdrop and allows us to look at the position of different sub-groups in society. Our work in this areas gives us insight in to the situation of people on benefit, the take-up of income-related benefits, pension provisions, money management and poverty.
