Training and Capacity Building Needs workshop
This workshop is organised by the National Centre for Research Methods and the National Centre for Social Research
The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) has funded a new collaborative project called Survey Futures. This project is a response to the changing social survey landscape, which is seeing increasingly more complex survey designs. This growing complexity has prompted concerns that the skills needed to design, analyse and commission social surveys are changing and that the training and on-going professional development of survey researchers may not be keeping pace with this change. Survey Futures has been tasked, among other things, with engaging with the social survey stakeholder community, to understand their training and capacity needs and help shape the outputs that will be produced by the research work packages that are being undertaken.
A Training and Capacity Building Needs workshop is being organised by the National Centre for Research Methods and the National Centre for Social Research. The workshop will take place online on 15th November and is aimed at those who have a vested interest in the recruitment, training and development of survey researchers, statisticians and analysts.
