Evaluation of a mentoring programme to raise the aspirations and attainment of young people.
Aim
We have evaluated the impact of the Mosaic Secondary School Mentoring Programme on young people's personal development, specifically their confidence, employability and self-efficacy.
Mosaic connects volunteer professionals with schools to provide mentoring for pupils aged 11-18 with the aim of raising aspirations, encouraging attainment and developing employability skills.
The programme targets pupils from deprived areas with low confidence and aspirations.

Methods
This is a longitudinal, mixed methods study with the aim of assessing the long-term impacts of the Programme on young people who took part during the academic year 2014-15.
