What will taking part involve?
If you have told us that you have a disability or health condition, at the end of the survey you will be asked if you would like to take part in a follow-up telephone interview. This interview will involve talking about your experiences of travel in more detail, including if you experience any barriers to travel. The interview will last up to 60 minutes. Your participation is completely voluntary.
The interview will be conducted over the telephone and a NatCen interviewer will call you to arrange a convenient time for the interview to take place. If you do take part in a telephone interview you will receive £40 voucher as a token of thanks for your time.
We would like to speak to people with a range of different experiences. This means we won’t be able to interview everyone who has expressed an interest in taking part in a follow-up interview. If you have not heard from us by the end of September this means you have not been selected to take part in a follow-up interview.
What support is available during interviews?
- We can take breaks during the interview at any time or break the interview up into shorter appointments
- You can ask someone to attend the interview with you, such as a friend, family member or support worker
- We arrange for extra support if you have specific needs.
Please let us know what support you require when we get in contact to discuss the research or get in touch if you have any concerns.
