Debbie is co-head of the Questionnaire Development and Testing Hub, which she helped to set up. Debbie is particularly interested in understanding how people interpret information. Using cognitive interviewing methods allows her to explore how people go about trying to answer survey questions and helps Debbie to improve the questionnaires used in NatCen's surveys. Debbie has been doing this for much of her working life and shares her knowledge and experience by teaching and writing papers.
